In the past I have raised Lories and Lorikeets. These bird's natural diet is primarily nectar from Grevillea, Eucalyptus, Banksia etc., which has a very high sugar content. My birds were becoming ill and dying, I finally discovered it was due to candida. Apparently the high sugar diet in captivity oftentimes resulted in a candida infection, they would have evidence on their beaks, in their mouth and down their throat. I learned that bacillus lateropsporus BOD in Flora Balance powder would eliminate this infection and restore their health. I regularly included it in their water.
