Mind and Body Formula is designed to restore health to our cognitive abilities as well as our overall body health. Phosphatidylserine and phophatidylcholine are two powerful cognitive rejeuvenating nutrients whose benefits have been deomonstrated repeatedly in clinical trials. Bacillus Laterosporus BOD restores health to the digestive tract. Mind and Body is ideal for those wanting to "turn back the clock" on aging or to help one regain health after suffering the ravages disease such as Candida Albicans.

Ultimate Acidophilus Plus

Benefits

  • PS (phosphatidylserine) reversed memory loss by 12 years in a clinical trial.
  • PS helps revitalize anti-stress mechanisms.
  • PS improves mood and fights depression.
  • PS consistently benefits memory, learning, concentration, word choice and mood
  • PC (phophatidylcholine) supplementation can dramatially stimulate cognitive functioning including memory, learning, concentration and focus.
  • PC can enhance butyrate's ability to inhibit colon cancer cells and therefore works well with fiber to strengthen the intestinal environment. 20
  • Laterosporus BOD eliminates many common pathogens including Candida.
  • Laterosporus BOD reduced digestive complaints up to 90%.
  • Laterosporus BOD is believed to enhance the immune system.

Mind Formula - Phosphatidylserine (PS)

There's a revolution happening in brain research, and PS is a big part of it. PS may be regarded as a deep nutrient because it occurs in all known life forms. PS is most concentrated in the brain, where it nutritionally supports crucial nerve cell functions. PS has a solid scientific track record. Eighteen double-blind studies established that PS consistently benefits memory, learning, concentration, word choice and mood Biochemically speaking, PS is a phospholipid substance, a major building block for membranes, the structure upon which most life activities occur. The membrane system of the nerve cells make the connections for the brains estimated 1,000 trillion separate conducting pathways through its deep membrane actions in the nerve cells, PS facilitates the production, action and cross harmonization of the brains many chemical transmitters. Able to enhance brain function in young and old, and with proven safety and tolerability, this powerful nutrient can turn back the clock on aging. Cell membranes are hotbeds of dynamic life activity, the action centers of all cells. When provided with the nutrients they need, they keep their individual cells vibrant and at the highest levels, this vitalizes the entire brain.

According to Dr. Thomas H. Crook, co-author of The Memory Cure, "PS is by far the best of all of the drugs and nutritional supplements we have ever tested for retarding age-associated memory impairment (AAMI)".

Moreover, according to the PDR for Nutritional Supplements, "phosphatidylserine has demonstrated some usefulness in treating cognitive impairment, including Alzheimer's disease, age-associated memory impairment... some non-Alzheimer's dementias... and general mental deterioration."

Recent research on children with attention defict disorder has shown PS combined with omega-3 DHA and EPA to be very promising. Dr. Parris Kidd noted "Omega 3 PS worked much better to restore attention in these children than did DHA/EPA from other dietary sources.

A less well known benefit of PS is that it reduces cortisol levels by as much as 25%.  If too much of the stress hormone cortisol is released from the adrenals, you can have all kinds of dysfunction and disease. You may become much more susceptible to colds or flu, for example. For many people, excess cortisol in the blood, can lead to cravings for some foods - mostly unhealthy foods - like fat and sugar and ice cream, as well as for alcohol and smoking.  The hormone primarily responsible for mobilizing energy via catabolism is cortisol. Consequently, the cortisol-blocking effects of phosphatidylserine may have profound effects on delaying many adverse effects of aging.

The incidence of side effects from PS is very low. This is best illustrated by the largest double-blind trial (Cenacchi and others, 1993),2 in which one subject (of 494) dropped out because of an adverse PS effect, as compared with seven drop-outs from the placebo group. After some 20 years of clinical use, PS has exhibited no known negative interactions with drug therapies.

There is 100 mg of 85% pure PS in each capsule of Mind and Body, be aware that most PS sold today is only a 20 - 45% pure form.  The PS in Mind and Body is derived from soy lecithin and those with known soy allergies should exercise caution, however because of the high purity of the PS used there is little extraneous soy lecithin included, appoximately 1/1000 of a teaspoon per capsule.   It would seem highly unlikely that a person could be allergic to PS as PS itself is contained in all human cells.

Body Formula Bacillus Laterosporus BOD

An agriculturalist visiting a remote part of Iceland discovered rich tasting vegetables produced without chemicals. Returning to the U.S., the agriculturalist conducted a series of studies which revealed the secret of the soil's growing power. The PATENTED formula is a unique strain of bacillus laterosporus (BOD STRAIN) a naturally occurring bacteria.

This is one of the most enigmatic of the transient "friendly" microorganisms found in the human gas-trointestinal tract. Bacillus Laterosporus (B.O.D. T strain) is a spore bearing bacteria. This enables the encased spore to survive the stomach acids. Thus, the full benefit of Bacillus Laterosporus B.O.D. T will bloom and flourish in the colon and establish colonies that will enhance your immune system.

Bacillus Laterosporus BOD has significant anti-pathogenic qualities.  It is particularly effective in cases of  candida albicans overgrowth but is also destructive of e. coli, salmonella and streptococcus and other pathogenic bacteria.  As a transitional organism it facilitates the re-establishment of friendly intestinal bacteria.
